The Religious Education program of the Unitarian Universalist Community of the Mountains includes programs for children and teens, infant care, and lifespan educational programs for adults. Religious education for the children and infant care are available during our regular services at 11 a.m. on Sundays. Child care is often available during other congregational events as well.
With growing numbers of children, we’ve divided up into groups now: the youngest children in the nursery, the five- to seven-year-olds in one room, and the eight- to eleven-year-olds in the other. As before, the teens meet upstairs in Rev. Meghan’s office. There’s lots of room for more volunteers—so see Meg, Lindsay, or Rev. Meghan if you’re ready to join the fun anywhere from once to once a month! Over the summer months there will be no official RE classes, just childcare with crafts, games and activities. If you can volunteer for Sunday, please call Marilyn Winters. Parents are especially encouraged to lend a hand this way this summer. RE classes will resume after Labor Day. Families who have participated in RE in the past will receive a mailing from the RE Committee near the end of August. Your R.E. Committee, Lindsay Dunckel, Meg Luce, and Marilyn Winters |
