* May 4th – “Justice Sunday 2008: The cost of Iraq” Rev. Meghan Cefalu  Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “A nation that continues, year a! er year, to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social upli! is approaching spiritual death.” This year marks the 40th anniversary of MLK’s assassination and the fifth  anniversary of our nation’s invasion of Iraq. May 11th – “Mother’s Nature for the 21st Century” Rev. Tomas Lewis  “Youth fades, love droops, the leaves of friendship fall; A mother’s secret hope outlives them all,” said Oliver Wendell Holmes. What is the calling of us to “mother” in families, society, the environment, and the wider world in this challenging 21st century? As pressures increase, what can we do as mothers, fathers, children and singles to take care of ourselves and sustain hope for generations to come. Come and think about traditional and unconventional ways all of us can “mother” now and in the future. The choir will sing.  Worship Associate: Jennifer Dahlgren
