Love Reaches Out: A learning and idea event for UUCM

Saturday, January 11, 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Religious practice and the place of religion in U.S. culture are changing rapidly. How can UUCM respond accordingly in
our community? How can UUCM be seen and heard and so further its mission and purpose amid the increasing barrage of attention-grabbing sensory inputs?

Please come explore these questions together on Saturday, January 11, 9:30 – 3:30.

In Love Reaches Out, we’ll explore:

  • The Changing Religious Landscape (and how UUCM can respond)
  • Who we are, What we do, and Why it matters (as a congregation and as UUs)
  • Where to start: Sweet Spot and Entry Points (ways for UUCM to reach out into the community while staying grounded in our core identity and mission.)Rev. Kevin will be facilitating with UUCM President, Karyn Packard, Vice-President Jim Perkins, board member Dennis Weiher, and Lindsay Dunckel.

The results of the day will not only inform the ongoing decisions of the Board, Minister and other UUCM leaders, it will also serve as early foundational work informing decisions related to the future of UUCM’s building and property.

A simple lunch will be served.

Please RSVP with Carol, our office administrator at: admin@uugrassvalley.org  or  530-274-1675.

We hope that you will be able to participate in this important day. We look forward to seeing you there, and to heading into the new year together.
