Community Building through Peaceful Communication
Want to have fun while learning to communicate more effectively and deeply?
UUCM member Joyce Banzhaf leads workshops for the Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP). The workshops are designed to be fun, using interactive exercises and games to examine ways people respond to situations where injustice, prejudice, frustration and anger can lead to aggressive words or behavior. The learning often leads to better relationships with yourself and others, a deeper sense of community, better conflict resolution skills and a more peaceful life.
This “mini” workshop (repeated February 22, 6-8 pm) offers a brief introduction, using some fairly deep questions for interacting and to practice communicating more effectively and deeply. Come, see if you want to learn more.
In service of our mission, come, let’s grow our compassion and our emotional strength, and so increase our ability to create Beloved Community.
