Last time, in No Rooms of Their Own we met women who endured months of danger, hunger and drudgery to come west during the Gold Rush. We also learned there were already free thinkers and human rights activists. These diverse women did not have rooms of their own but their journals and stories provided a gamut of world views and adventures.
On August 14, at 2, we will meet at Theresa Houtman’s, hear a selection from Hamilton and discuss Range of Motion by Elizabeth Berg. Just what happens when we must face the unimaginable? (Connie Wright finds this book so compelling she is having trouble putting it down.) We will also be making our selections for the next three months.
ALL are welcome to any and all of these discussions: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone (530) 277-9294.
