Thursday, April 11 5:00 – 7:00 PM

The Nevada City Rancheria Nisenan and California Heritage: Indigenous Research Project (CHIRP) will soon approach the Nevada County Board of Supervisors for a resolution in support of their quest for the restoration of their Federal recognition.

Garnering local support is the first and most important step in the campaign. They will then approach our state and federal legislators including Sen. Harris and Sen. Feinstein, to seek their support in passing legislation for the Tribe to be reinstated as a Federally recognized and sovereign entity.

Join the Social Justice Team on Thursday, April 11 to learn more about the special task force forming to support these efforts.  Pizza, salad and drinks will be served.
