Brené Brown defines vulnerability as “the emotion we experience during times of uncertainty, risk and emotional exposure.” Vulnerability, she, claims, is the core of all feeling, for to feel at all is be vulnerable and exposed. She teaches that trust and our capacity for vulnerability are built slowly, simultaneously and together in any relationship.
In a gathered community such as this one, courageous vulnerability and trust are essential if we are to be what we need to be for each other and for the world, and if we are to have true joy. Come, let’s risk that possibility.
