The UUCM Book Group will resume meeting at the church beginning in May. We will meet on the first Sunday of each month at 12:30 pm.

June 5 The Paris Library by Janet Skeslien Charles

“Based on the true story of the American Library in Paris, The Paris Library is a mesmerizing and captivating novel about the people and the books that make us who we are, for good and for bad, and the courage it takes to forgive” (Simon and Schuster). Odile takes her dream job at the American Library in 1939 and forms close friendships with both colleagues and patrons. When Nazis occupy Paris their shared love of books and bonds of community lead these ordinary people to heroic action. A parallel story about the friendship Odile forms in her later years with a young girl in Montana illuminates lessons of betrayal and forgiveness.

All Book Group meetings are scheduled for the first Sunday at 12:30 pm, and held in the Channing Room at UUCM, unless noted otherwise. All are welcome to join for any discussions.
