Dear UUCM Members and Friends,
Each year the board invites members into its deep visionary work, looking into our past, present, and future in preparation for setting goals for the coming year. In this time of change, this is particularly important, challenging, beautiful work!
Similar to the Open Questions sessions in December, we are offering a set of three possible times in order to give you options and in order to facilitate meaningful online conversation.
  • Saturday, February, 20, 10:00am -12:00 pm
  • Sunday, February 21, 1:00-3:00 pm

  • Tuesday, February 23, 6:30-8:30 pm
Please mark your calendar and plan to attend one of these sessions. Your voice makes a real difference. If you know which session you will attend, alerting Carol in the office will be very helpful for our planning. ( or 530-274-1675)
In December we asked ourselves, “What have we lost? What did we assume? What is wanting to emerge?

In our upcoming Visioning Sessions, we will explore together more deeply that third question, “What is wanting to emerge?
We’ll ask:
  1. What are UUCM’s greatest assets?
  2. What relationships will we need to build on, strengthen, or initiate in the months ahead?
  3. What unique role might our congregation play in local, national, and even global recovery?
  4. What long term changes in the bigger picture would we like to be part of bringing to fruition?

As Susan Beaumont, the author of these questions, points out:

“These questions are not meant to be magic bullets that solve problems. The questions are . . . an invitation to pay exquisite attention—to notice why we are making the choices we make, and what wants to happen next. The dialogue that these questions provoke can make the difference between merely surviving this season and thriving in the next.
We look forward to visioning with you!
Watch for the link as we get closer to the date.
with care,

Rev. Kevin and UUCM President, Jim Perkins
