Rev. Mary Katherine Morn writes, “We are here together to borrow courage for the task of coming alive.” On this day of UUCM’s annual meeting, anchored in the metaphor of stone soup, we look for truth, beauty, goodness, and courage in community. Music with Toby Thomas-Rose.
Join in a soup lunch between the service and the meeting!
You are invited to please bring a meaningful (to you) stone to donate to the set of stones we use for our weekly Joys and Sorrows rituals. Think something between acorn and egg size. Something you are willing to release. Maybe it’s a stone from the Yuba River, or Lake Michigan, or a desert landscape. Maybe it’s from your yard. Maybe it’s professionally polished and smooth, or maybe its beauty is more raw. If you cannot attend on May 22, please consider bringing your stone to the UUCM office earlier, on a weekday morning.
PLEASE PLEASE NOTE: We’ll adjust our virus protocols as needed. Right now, there are no limits on on-site attendance and masks are optional. Please watch for ongoing updates, and thank you for your ongoing flexibility! If you are feeling unwell or have had a known COVID exposure, please attend on-line, rather than in person.
