The Humanism Discussion Group is a gathering for both those who identify as humanists and those who are interested in learning about this philosophy. We gather to explore humanism and how it relates to the various aspects of our lives in today’s world while encouraging self-exploration and establishing a relationship with the group.
Subjects for group discussion are chosen by members, and optional readings on the subjects are made available prior to the discussion.

When the pace of technological change and the scale of social crisis outstrip our inherited moral categories, what does it mean to act well—responsibly, courageously, and with compassion—without appeal to any authority beyond reason, evidence, and one another?
