Here we are, at the very edge of UUCM’s future, inviting each other to invest in and amplify the powerful good this community can offer in these extraordinary times.

The willingness of so many UUCM members to reach beyond absolute certainty in this moment feels courageously inspiring to some and frighteningly risky to others, and understandably so in either case. To the world, I believe, it is a sign and source of hope that this community stretches to invest in a new home now for the sake of living its values and its mission more fully.

I can tell you that UU and UUCM values and commitments to inclusion, compassion and justice inspire an increasing number of people in our area. Numerous people seek me out to tell me this each time I offer my presence in public spaces on UUCM’s behalf.

A building – and land, parking spaces, and plenty of room to gather – are all means rather than ends. So too are the everyday expenses that make it possible for us to continue our important ministry.

It is to the larger ends and possibilities of UUCM and our Unitarian Universalist faith tradition that I am genuinely and personally excited to be able to give meaningfully of my own resources, financial and otherwise.

I invite you to do the same.

With care and deep trust,
Rev. Kevin

Generous support of the new UUCM home is a rare opportunity for each of us to leave a lasting legacy to the values we hold dear. Imagine what we adn generations to come will do on this land and in these buildings as we cultivate and nurture a growing nulti-generational community that feeds our spirits and allows us to help bend the arc toward justice.
