The patriots of 1776 declared independence. Today our values call us to declare interdependence. The 1776 declaration held a set of truths to be self-evident: “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness are more than parades and picnics. This Sunday we are reminded that WE the people, all the people, have an unalienable right to live interdependently in freedom that serves the common good.
Join us as we celebrate this amazing country and the values that are the foundation of liberty and justice for all.
Attenders were invited to wear their deep values this Sunday in the form of t-shirts, buttons, hats, sashes, sandwich boards, etc, with messages that convey a value that is deeply important to them.
