Okay, let’s acknowledge up front that the world “spiritual” is vital and foundational for some, doesn’t work at all or is off-putting for others, and is neither here nor there for still others. The Latin root of the word “spirit” means “breath,” and one way to understand “spiritual” is in reference to “anything that animates life.” We all breathe, presumably. Religious, or spiritual, or neither, what animates your life – your inner life and your outward-facing life?
