UUCM’s July partner, Child Advocates of Nevada County (CASA), received $1,040 thanks to generous UUCM members, friends, and visitors.
As of this writing, we are finishing up our collections for our August partner, Bear Yuba Land Trust.
Our September partner is Nevada County Habitat for Humanity. That organization brings people together to build affordable homes for working families in need. Habitat has built/provided homes to more than 38 families. They are currently building 4 houses near Nevada Union High School. Volunteers from UUCM provide lunch to Habitat construction workers once per month. Email Justice@uugrassvalley.org if you’re interested in helping out.
