We are about to begin our second special election campaign — this one for the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Wisconsin is a state with a democratic governor, but severe gerrymandering has led to a supermajority of republicans in both house of the legislature. The complacent Supreme Court has allowed that gerrymandering along with a near total ban on abortions (even in cases of rape and incest) and threatens the integrity of future elections, a reality that could have national implications.
There is now a special election to replace one conservative supreme court justice, giving us the chance to tip the balance of power on the court in favor of more progressive voices and end the rubber stamp of conservative legislative priorities. We will have postcard packets available starting Feb. 26 the for the April 4 general election. The deadline to mail postcards will be March 24th. We still have plenty of donated stamps and postcards so no need to hold back for lack of funds. Please help.
